3.9 What are cookies and how are they used?
3.9.1 What are cookies?
A cookie is a little file storing the internet settings. Nearly every website makes use of the cookie technology. Cookies are downloaded from your web browser when you first visit a website. The next time you access that website with the same terminal device, the cookie and any information stored therein is either sent back to the website that created it (first party cookie) or sent to another website to which it belongs (third party cookie). That way the website recognizes that it has been accessed before with that browser and varies the content displayed in some cases.
Some cookies are extremely useful as they may improve the user experience at the renewed access of a website which you visited before. The cookies remember your preferences, for instance, provided you use the same terminal device and the same browser as before, or the way you use a site, and adjust the offers displayed in a more relevant manner to your personal interests and needs.
Cookies may be divided into four categories, depending on their intended purpose and function: essential cookies, performance cookies, functional cookies and cookies for marketing purposes.
3.9.2 Types of cookies
You may also check or change which type of cookies are accepted. This can usually be done in your browser settings.
In addition, we provide you with information on such in this privacy statement.
3.9.3 Refuse cookies
You may also adjust your browser settings to only receive cookies which are absolutely necessary to perform the basic features of the website - any other cookies would no longer be accepted.
Most browsers accept cookies. If you prefer that we do not collect any data by the use of cookies, you may determine in the privacy settings of your browser that some or all cookies are accepted or all cookies are refused.
If, however, all cookies are refused, it may be that not all of the features and content of our website are available to you.
As every browser has a different structure, we recommend looking up in the help menu of your browser in which way you may change cookie settings.
Please find further general information on the subject of cookies, including the possibility of cookie deactivation, at aboutcookies.org. You will also find instructions there how to delete cookies from your computer.
3.9.4 Which cookies are used?Necessary (2)

*Use of YouTube videos
This website uses the YouTube embedding feature to display and playback videos of the provider "YouTube" which belongs to Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google").
The enhanced data protection mode is applied there which, according to the provider, triggers a storage of user information only when a video is displayed. If playback of embedded YouTube videos is started, the provider "YouTube" uses cookies to collect information on user behavior. According to YouTube's indications, they serve, among other purposes, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive activities. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly allocated to your account if you click on a video. If you do not wish such allocation to your profile with YouTube, you will have to log out prior to the activation of the button. Google stores your data (even with non-logged in users) as user profiles and evaluates them. Such evaluation is, in particular, performed on the basis of the legitimate interest of Google to insert personalized advertisement, market research and/or needs-based design of its website pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence f DSGVO. You have a right of objection against the creation of such user profiles, and if you want to exercise that right, you should address YouTube.
Irrespective of a playback of embedded videos, a connection to the Google network "DoubleClick" is established at every access to this website, which may trigger further data processing operations beyond our control.

For further information on data protection with "YouTube", please refer to the privacy statement of the provider at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

This website exclusively uses Google Analytics with the enhancement "_anonymizeIp()" which ensures an anonymization of the IP address by truncation and excludes a direct reference to individuals. Google first truncates your IP address through this enhancement within the member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is transferred to a server of Google in the US in exceptional cases only and truncated there. Processing is made pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence f DSGVO in such exceptional cases on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for purposes of optimization and marketing.
Google will use such information on behalf of us to evaluate the use of our website, to compile reports on website activities and to render further services to us in connection with the use of the website and the internet. The IP address transmitted from your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be amalgamated with any other data of Google.
You may prevent the storage of cookies by appropriately setting your browser software; we, however, point out that in such case you may not be able to use all features of this website in full.
